    there are a couple of things not often mentioned re your post - which is very good.

    when jesus was nailed to the cross it is not necessarily where you said but could have been in the palms of his hands.

    archeology hhas discovered that when nails were used the romans used a wooden washer which helped keep the palm from sliding out or pulling out

    regards the nails in his feet (note i said nails plural) there is solid evidence that many were nailed to the cross with the nail through the lower ankle or heel bone to either side of the upright
