Just to rub a bit of salt in to the wound, Air New Zealand, which has been an excellent investment as my comparative figures in another post show, - has just today announced a profit upgrade of 20%.
The New Zealand dollar is very high versus the US, so complaints here about a strong $A ring a bit hollow.
What can the CEO do? Talk to the successful airlines and pick their brains. Run the business, forget about raising cash, that will only delay the inevitable a bit longer.
