All the talk about another counter bidder for AOE has focussed on the Gladstone players.

There are many other international super majors and majors that would be interested in the AOE assets in OZ. A good number come to mind. The OZ LNG thing has become so big internationally that all these guys would know about it.

I suspect late night oil (or gas!!) is being burnt to try to find a path to the launch of a competitive counter offer.

LNG's comments that they are in discussion with 2 gas sources this week, shows there are different ways to skin the cat.

Hopeful but not excited about another player entering the play.

I have 10x more invested in BOW over AOE, so I'm hoping that BOW get swept up in any big deal. Their 2P reserves are expected to rocket to > 500PJ this year. Went up 59PJ today.
