Why did people eventually drop their landline phones? Despite owning mobile phones, we kept them.... until calls were cheaper on our mobile. This lead to landline phones being effectively wiped out in a matter of a couple of years.

Many governments are pushing to bring forward EV adoption rates through legislation, negative ICE taxes and EV subsidies. But the fact is, pretty soon there will be a price cross-over anyway, and the govt. stick and carrot won't be needed.

Once an EV is cheaper than a combustion car (with a range of choice), people will choose to buy EVs in droves for no other reason than $.
