EV dominance is coming. It's just a matter of when.
Early adopters are buying them at the moment, so the impact is minimal. But as soon as it's cheaper to own and run one, watch the masses change over in a very short time.
I believe that crossover in price date is predicted to be 2024.
Governments are helping this come faster. No ICEs sold in Germany after 2030. Same for India and the list will grow.
In my opinion, sales of EV sales will be greater than 50% by 2026/27 (assuming there are enough to buy). Simply due to economics.
However, petrol cars will still be running and some will still be sold. There will be less exploration, so oil prices won't drop too far (offshore oil costs about US$40 a barrel to produce). There is still life in oil IMO, but not for more than 15 years.
Re: the rise and fall of bitcoin - EVs can't be compared to a software currency that is easily copied and with no government bonds backing it.
