- Airobotics granted a (TC) Type certificate by the FAA.
- The highest echelon of airworthiness certification
- The fist autonomous security and data capture drone enabling it to fly over people and infrastructure without the need for case-by-case waivers.
- Halo design win embedded into their hardware or “baked in” to the Airobotics Optimus-1 system.
- Over 4 years of testing ,trials, regulatory changes, no doubt problems that had to be solved, delays (covid), lots of money invested and as quoted in a press release by Airobotics over 100,000 test flights .

- So a game changer for the industry and obviously Airobotics but also a massive validation/approval for Elsight !! Confirmation that the drone market is happening and becoming accepted as part of our future.
- With over 100 Elsight clients and design wins makes those companies very attractive now. I have to also assume many POC taking place (as mentioned in company webinars ) and now even more to start as we are the only connectivity solution at present embedded in a Type Certificate approved/issued .
- Faa validation of our safety/connectivity strength will open doors in other areas . Vehicles , robotics, nautical .. so many possibilities!! FAA could be a test zone for other regulatory bodies also??
- The key to being embedded from the design win means you can’t be changed or replaced unless the TC process is started again and from day 1 . A completely new application. If it was a key component of an Airworthiness certificate like for example in a current plane flying today it can’t be changed without starting the whole expensive and complicated process again.
- Ever wondered why the cockpit of a 747 for 50 years looks the same ? Steering column ,seats etc . Why when you get on a new plane the tv is the latest OLED technology, but your seatbelt looks the same for the last 50 years ? No one wants to start again . Complicated ! Expensive and downtime !!
- FAA is responsible for the safety of civil aviation and if you were UAV business about to head down this path or even 2 years into the process and want to jump ahead of
your competition ???...... makes Elsight avery attractive proposition .
- ELS competition for BVLOS ? The only thing I could find is an old Elsight presentation below . Sure others like a few of the big players in the drone race have inhouse designed solutions but to what capability ? For now, most operate a piloted flight with spotters along the route or in either small restricted areas or controlled flight paths under waivers that can only travel very short distances .
