If unsure of US constitutional law [as we all must be] one can do worse than listen to Mark Levin. He has studied it closely. It was he, three years ago who told us that a sitting President could not under any circumstances be indicted. That became accepted after a while.

Tonight he explains that state legislature has unfettered right to nominate the electors from that state who vote for the President. It is not unconstitutional for a state house to simply name its electors and this was once the norm. Mi, Wi and Pa all have republican majority houses. Just reminding you.

So these states can name their own electors and the SCOTUS can not interfere.

In Bush V Gore the high court reiterated the legislature "may, if it so choses select its electors itself" [Quoting Levin quoting the judgement] You may recall the "hanging chad" fiasco. This judgement ended it. History tells us they favoured Bush.
