when we speak of a 'cost of living' crisis

what we really mean is a 'cost of accommodation' crisis

property prices and rents ---------------- the cost of shelter.

if it were not wildly out of whack ---------- people could easily afford to eat and look after themselves with health.

It's the cost of shelter that is the problem. And it's a cultural cancer --------- only a nation of fools can describe their real estate market as 'going strongly, going well'

they seem totally ignorant that what it means is that the cost of shelter is rising strongly - a basic need of human life.

fools. Funnily enough you don't see them cheering on the price of bread when it rises - no one says, gosh, the price of bread is doing well
