Agree but even STO are having problems with offshore. Just look at what happened at Barossa. Native title dudes tried to drag ocean floor into onshore debate. What a crock of sh??. Sanity finally prevailed but just another roadblock put up by those with an agenda that use spurious avenues to wreak havoc.

Quite frankly more than 60% of my equity portfolio is based overseas. It will only grow particularly if STO and others move operations out of OZ. Returns by overseas equities consistently outperform local markets even taking dividends and franking into account. Sad but true. A beat up AUD is also a factor. With US interest rates looking to come down faster than OZ rates you would think the AUD would be well above 70c pushing 75c. Of my OZ portfolio 40% is in less risky REIT. Boring but nice earners for those not too greedy. So that leaves just 24% in OZ equities. I think that says it all.
