Nut I have explained this before on HC

It's basically a buy/sell of to a common price.

Eg:

Buys sells


10 @ 10 10 @ 10
10 @ 9 10 @ 9
10 @ 8 10 @ 8
10 @ 7 15 @ 7
10 @ 6

At open 40 sellers and 40 buyers will settle at 7 cents as the match price was 7 cents.

Then you will still have 10 buyers at 6 and 5 sellers at 7.
