interesting no replies, is it because no one knows the answers?
big question for liberdade for me is the transport costs for the iron ore... if they cant organise a rail contract to transport the iron the project doesnt actually seem commercially viable...
if they get $70/t for the ore
- $8 mining/beneficiation cost
- $16 for rail transport or $44 for road (worst case)
that means gross profit per tonne could range anywhere between
$46/t for rail transport
$18/t for road transport
at $18t it almost doesnt seem worthwhile? i hope they are hard at work negotiating with the rail network owners...
