Agree, Zeek. They ate simply and healthily and red wine stood out as the foremost drink in many civilisations.
and those of us that are smart are following suit - I have just changed to red wine after a lifetime of drinking beer in copious amounts.....trouble is in trying not to drink the wine at the same rate (hic).
