I can drop a big bomb guys, because I sent VCR an email last year when Thoratec had the same problem and asked why they were not distancing themselves from the issue by confirming the integrity of their own product. I can't remember the exact wording of the reply, but it basically read don't kick the cat because it may come back to bite you. I'm pretty sure I still have it home and I'll post it if I can find it. It confused me at the time, but makes a lot of sense now.

Wouldn't be surprised if this ends up with a fire sale management buy out after PC secures his own finance.
