Not quite sure whether you are giving an answer or asking a question with you comment. If it is a question towards me then my answer using my definition of small caps in Australia they have a market cap of typically less than $400 million.
However the S&P/ASX Small Ordinaries Index, which represents the smaller members of the ASX, has companies included, that range from around $10 million to several billion. The average size of the market cap is somewhere around the $400 million mark.
I use to trade with COMMSEC and their definition was "companies that sit outside of the largest 100 on the ASX by market cap. The S&P/ASX Small Ordinaries index (XSO) represents those smaller members of the S&P/ASX300 index. It’s used as a benchmark for small cap Australian shares. Companies in this index generally have a market cap of a few hundred million dollars to $2 billion."

All constructive criticism welcomed, as these are my thoughts and interpretation that I post, and they do not replace professional advice and no one can truly predict, in any way, future trade quotes and performance. Good luck to all that hold.
