If you think that strong directors don't affect the value of your shareholdings, think of the "not so recent" takeover bid of Woodside by Shell.
The directors said NO to a $14.00 offer by Shell, knowing that the company was poised for big things. Woodside, through the gumption of its directors fought off Shell, and the $14.00 I would have recieved a few years ago is now $40, with continued blue sky ahead.
I ask a question here - could Redport have been destined for big things??? Consider -- uranium, the hottest emerging commodity in the world... a company that holds some of the great acreage in a country that covets most of the resource... and the company and industry currently sitting at the base of the blue sky ladder.
The only positive to have emerged here is that the RPT directors have shown their true selves...ie they are not of the calibre to be able to take the company forward anyway.
The answer to all this is say NO to the takeover then get rid of these weakling directors!!!
Absolute Shame Directors!!
