I do not believe it is what differentiates Spirit Telecom. They are building up a business around a solid structure. If you look at Telstra, they do not provide majority of the services themselves. They have many other smaller IT / Telco focused businesses that deliver additional products, such as Cisco, to Telstra customers. The customer is billed on ‘Telstra Paper’ and receive one bill for everything.

Consider TPG Telecom. It built up over the years on a similar strategy as to what Spirit is doing. TPG recently merged with Vodafone and is now a dominant player.

I wonder if Spirit will be on this year’s The Block? Great exposure if it is...
