For exactly the same reason that I'm still buying OZL too. I'm bullish on copper, and I want to retain exposure to AVB's Brazillian assets. BR had ZERO incentive to try to lower the AVB price. they don't need to sell down AVB for a takeover, they have a blocking stake, anybody who wanted to buy AVB had to negotiate with BR. BR, as an equity investor was incentivised to get the highest price possible for their shares, They've been selling a few everytime the share price goes up because they wanted to exit at a profit. They've negotiated for OZL to take the rest at a 120% premiun to what they were getting in the market.

That is a good outcome, not a conspiracy!
