My view of potential IPOs or other type of disposal of assets/divisions is that PB will want significant cash coming into the main company to further its aims in UCG and GTL.
In North America, for instance, the idea is to prove up Umiat to a value of $2B + before a sale of it and possibly the Gulf Coast oil wells. If an IPO was planned LNC would want at least $500M to $1B in cash. US investors might be offered discounted shares in the IPO while other investors would then get a dividend. I think this may be very acceptable to both US and non US investors.
I consider LNC would hold onto Wyoming oil and coal assets because , in time, they could combine UCG/GTL and EOR in a very profitable and environmentally clean operation.
All IMHO.
