Another point would be along these lines. OK Burkina Faso has some militia running around doing smash and grabs along the border and in the northern sector of the country. Is that a significant risk to WAF's mining activity?

US had BLM protests for over 2 months. Rioting, vandalizing, shootings, and looting by thousands of protestors in many different cities. Many stores targeted by criminals including Apple, Target, and Walmart to name a few. Shooting of an innocent 5 year old boy one of the latest instances where a crim shot the little boy in the head at point-blank range because he was white. Looted stores emptied of goods and destroyed in the process.

How much or far did these looted companies share price fall due to this looting, damage and loss of production? Nil? Walmart currently trading near all time highs.
Did the US share market rally a significant amount taking into account the significant sovereign risk of the US?

I think at times sovereign risk can be overstated with fear mongering playing a large factor.
