Last week they knew about our Chairman hot footing it to Japan to sign the deal, and this week???

Some thoughts:

1. I don't think it is a takeover otherwise we would have seen corresponding movement in HGO (flat today) and BOW which was pretty flat too.

2. It can't be anticipation of a backflip on the RSPT because the Government is spending our $ on advertising about what a good idea it is.

3. It could just be Friday movement and shorters covering positions but that is too boring to contemplate and I am not sure that fits with the very large orders after the close.

4. We could be getting an ESG specific announcement like reserve upgrades or flow rates.

My money is on 4, I hope its not 1 (off too low a base) and I hope its not just unexplained because that would make Monday very dull indeed.

Great way to start the weekend though.
