I think Deposit-to-list benefits all parties involved, on the part of the CEX it raises engagements and attracts investors to the exchange. The project also gets high liquidity and exposure, while the participants are usually rewarded from a predetermined pool or reimbursed in cases where the tokens don't get listed eventually.
