Just on the news, S.A. has a "surprise" $249M deficit Having another productive copper mine would surely add to the state's coffers. The headlines are all about the Russian and Chinese scammers, but I believe the holdups on the S23 determination are a result of scams much closer to home, just blatant rent seeking. I suspect most people see it but can't call it out for fear of being attacked by the green army.
