Faith is conscious knowledge expressed in action.
There is that other kind of 'faith', wherein one of mainstream religious bent, must among other acts of belief, believe the unbelievable as a display of pseudo-faith for others, especially those within the same religious body. This ignorance is then worn and paraded as a fine garment. In reality this a form of culture developed within a religion and has little to do with faith at all.
Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. James 2:17
Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. James 2:18
Your deeds alone are faithful : make them your refuge, for they alone will accompany you into the depths of the tomb." ~ #Rumi.
Faith it would seem is not faith unless it is coupled to an action. These actions or deeds would then have to be free of ego and be of benefit to humanity. Faith is arrived at via intuitive and rational thought leading to a degree of understanding in something which can not be easily tested. Understanding is then proven by deeds, rarely if ever by words.
