I would expect they would effectively offer an ipo to uk citizens and institutions I.e it adds capital, as well as increasing availability of the stock with those who can better appreciate the resource. A seeming lack of interest in the stock in the uk previously implied heavy discounting would be required to float it. Hopefully now this is not the case.
Oilex is a current dual listed stock. You can look it up under its AIM or ASX tickets as uk:oex or au:oex, respectively. Try big charts and duo a stock chart comparison between the two.
I can't remember how stock is ported between exchanges, or even if it is a fixed amount of capital/shares on each exchange. I know the uk stock is accounted for on the asx as the shares on issue, share price and market capitalisation are all alligned.
