The RBA can't do much to make it fairer or distribute the pain more evenly as they only have one lever to pull.
The only ones who can do that are the government but it would be a very very brave government that implemented any policies to slow down spending in a cost of living crisis. Price caps would work and help with cost of living but it would be a very very very brave government that tried that...
