Let me say up front I have nothing against gays, even have a friends that are gay, and some others I think may bat & bowl.
But why are the Greens making gay marriage just about their key legislative centrepiece? It has nothing to do with the environment.
A lot of people might have voted for the Greens expecting them to focus on the environment. If I voted for them I would be scratching my head a bit, wondering what the sold me. Or are they trying to wedge the ALP, like they did with the ETS???
I also don't have a problem with Penny Wong advocating gay marriage. However I have a big problem with her saying marriage should be between a man and a woman during the election campaign - fundamentally dishonest & deceptive on her part. It's these types of things that voters don't.
