My friend opened independent shop (Sydney CBD ) only selling coffees and cookies, sandwich and cakes which he buys from somewhere else with the total capital investment of $95K and sitting capacity of 10 people as it is quick take away shop. He added another coffee machine last week due to the high demand for takeaway coffees in the morning and lunchtime. He does sell quite an amount of cups and not expensive as others.

He did research for Gloria jeans and Michelle shops but he found that they need refurbishment every 5 years which is another $150K means every year he needs to spare $30k and end up opening his own.
