cheers. My point is that ignoring franchise... to set up a coffee shop is some 200k in capital. In other words bloody expensive. This is a barrier to entry and i can see why people buy a going concern/franchise as it appears more straightforward. But my research on the 11 stores here in Toowoomba is that location is critical. Those in a good spot do well and vica versa. But shopping centre rents are very high. I see plenty shops closing and reopening here in our bigger centres. Clothing shops especially. SPnow $1.99 down 25%!! What a day!
