Captain, thanks for having a look at the numbers etc but if my memory servers me correctly, not so long ago I read an article claiming gold miners extraction costs were running close to $900-1000 per ounce and that's why gold miners/stocks in general were struggling of late. I'll try to find the article tomorrow but I'm pretty sure Barrick and Pogera were mentioned in the article with that sort of figure for extraction.
