They are not rational like you or me. As Dex said, you can't flick a switch but they think you can. That IPCC statement that "gas is a bridging fuel" is treated with paranoia. They think it is "Big Oil and Gas Companies pushing their weight around". All a huge conspiracy linked to money. They think big oil and gas companies are headed up by the head Villain in the James Bond movie Goldfinger!
They fail to realise big oil and gas companies are headed up by compassionate humans whose families live, work and go to school in the local communities. Do the staff/ management etc want to destroy their own environment? Does a pilot want to crash his own plane?? (OK possibly a bad example with flight MH370 still in the news- lol) Do we poison our own water before we drink it? They aren't DALEKS or Cybermen! Methinks these extremists watch too much T.V!
anti-capitalism; anti-development; anti-progress; anti-business -- These are all consequences. Ends justifies the means.
