Stokes is putting $250m into the float of China's Agricultural Bank - the weakest of the top 4 banks in China which was said to be almost broke in 2008.He must see some upside in this float I suppose though I don't know enough about the bank to comment.

I agree that there have been some negative murmurings from RIO and IOH about the Phils Creek mine gate sales agreement but I also see the final comment that " negotiations are continuing". If the exclusivity agreement regarding Iron Valley lapses as a result, this just opens it up for the market to bid on. I personally see this disagreement as characterising a takeover of IOH by RIO as a more arm's length or hostile transaction rather than a comfortable old boy's agreement.

Or maybe I'm just hoping that's true?
