A closer relationship with our most important neighbour that isn't aligned with our views on China and the US, declines to become involved in alliances and sides and that also provides an impenetrable geographic shield against the rest of the World can only be a good thing. Probably using recent Chinese investment to leverage closer economic ties with us, that's fine by me. I didn't want you to think that the absence of a response represented apathy on the subject. It's very important.
