I had a look at the slides from the recent AGM in Brisbane and noted that on the immunotherapies second slide it says that the HSV2 vaccine will go to phase 2 trials in China in 2020.
Can this be correct or is it a mistake?
After all, we have already done phase 2a ...
Does anybody know if the vaccine to be tested in China in 2020 is the same vaccine which produced encouraging results in the phase 2a trial in Brisbane, or have Prof Fraser and the team been further developing the chemistry ... if it is the same, would it not be possible to add more people to an extension trial of the 2a... so that additional data points might give "statistical power" and complete the phase 2 so then straight on to phase 3 ?
AND ... we know that Australia and America have very high incidence of HSV2 in the general populations ... does China have a high incidence or will recruitment be a problem in China
