"Jesus himself states that he is “the beginning of the creation by God.”—Re 3:14.

Neither this Scripture nor Colossians 1:15 makes reference to the new creation."

The Greek word, protokos, translated "firstborn" is not a noun, but an adjective.
If it were really referring to being born, the verse is theologically incorrect.
Adam was the firstborn man of creation (although he wasn't really born).

Cain was actually the first to be actually born into the creation.

Jesus was not born until thousands of year later.

The word "firstborn" in this verse does not refer to a physical birth, but refers to Jesus' position to inherit the creation.

In Jewish law, the firstborn inherited the lion's share of his father's estate.

Jesus is to inherit the creation. It has nothing to do with being created

"This was at a time earlier than the physical creation spoken of at Genesis 1:1 as shown by these comparable Scriptures."

No it wasnt,John 1.1 Proverbs 8.23,Gen 1.1 are clearly talking about the same event, the beginning of the creation of this world.

"(Job 38:4) Where were you when I founded the earth? Tell me, if you think you understand.
(Job 38:7) When the morning stars joyfully cried out together, And all the sons of God began shouting in applause?
These "sons of God" were angel sons in existence prior to the earth."

Yes they were, and they fit perfectly into the 3 texts i quoted regarding the start of the earth,or beginning of creation of this earth, the angels pre existed before the creation of this earth,so obviously they can shout with joy etc, because they witnessed the event.

"The term “beginning” is used in various other texts similarly to describe the start of some period or career or course, such as the “beginning” of the Christian career of those to whom John wrote his first letter (1 John 2:7; 3:11), the “beginning” of Satan’s rebellious course (1 John 3:8), or the “beginning” of Judas’ deflection from righteousness. (John 6:64)"

Mr Gordon, the context of those texts, clearly describe the events described in context

"the “beginning” of Satan’s rebellious course" meant just that, context

the “beginning” of Judas’ deflection from righteousness meant just that.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth, means exactly that, the beginning means, when God created the earth, exactly as it reads.John 1.1

In proverbs 8,23 in the beginning or ever the earth was, means exactly that, the begining means, the begining of the earth

If begining meant what you are trying to make it say, explain this please

    John 8.44
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Jesus said to Satan this, because we all know,Lucifer who later became Satan(adversary) was created perfect .
He was the first of gods created being and was the Arch angel, who coverted Gods sons position as a divine being beside his father,God.

If as you say,the beginning means the beginning of all things, how could Satan, who wasnt the adversary yet ,as he was still called Lucifer,be a liar and murderer from the beginning ?

Its because the begining in context means exactly as gen 1.1 proverbs 8.23 and John 1.1 say,the beginning of this world.
