I'm looking for a bit of assistance understanding what the NYSE American Exchange (formerly AMEX) is and it is around?
I've read enough articles online that implies that it is still around, still serving as a market for emerging, small-cap companies but I cannot find a listing of companies on it.
Some pages imply it has merged with the NYSE, while at the same time saying it is still its own exchange.
