The only medical community cheering would be those with MSB shares. I'm there. Hip, hip etc.
This community has a lot of experience with egg on its face from encouraging patients to undertake treatments that have benefited undertakers more than patients. Premature enthusiasm can be misguiding. It's all about "evidence based" now. And even then the evidence can be a bit thin, especially when big pharma's profits are in the mix.
The profession's silence is due to healthy scepticism. Good thing and not at all predictive of our trial's success or failure.
