Get yourself one of those little log stackers on wheels. I've had one for maybe 20 years and even the wheels haven't worn out.
I just wheel it to the back door, fill it from the wheelbarrow and push it back into place near the fire.
ps I'm nearly out of firewood and rain is preventing me from cutting some.
