You need to place an initial lower buy order and modify your price up 1 pip at a time.
another related hint you can buy out multiple prices this way eg. if there is only 100,000 @ 1.6c you can put an order in for 100,001 and modify order up to 1.7c for the one off brokerage cost and increasing the share price by 0.001 by purchasing the extra 1 share @ 1.7c
