There's no flaw re pausing warming and rising CO2. It's a very complex system with numerous inputs into overall temperature. It is not logically inconsistent that one variable could be presently outweighing another without undermining the overall trend.
The warming is over argument tends to be based on looking at charts which show, at best, a pause in the overall trend of warming. This conclusion is generally weak, certainly statistically, and most definitely should not be made by traders who generally have a pretty fair idea of how to interpret charts and trends.
It will be some years before it is clear whether or not the warming trend has in fact been broken.
