Climate change as term may make sense when people look at shorter term weather changes to prove some theory or another.

Seems the pro global warming crowd used el nino events of 1998 to support their global warming theory at the time but as time passes the fact that subsequent years were cooler than those extremes now allow anti-global warming crowds to use that same season to support their argument that we are headed to an ice age. Both extremes use the same data for their propoganda.
