    "how deep would the ice be over the land in an ice age? Which lands?"

    Well, there are several areas in the northern Eastern Goldfield where Patterson Formations occur, cause by glacial activity in the Permian era.
    So even Western Australia had glaciers once.......and as they melted due to global warming the cavemen had meetings and decided to limit the number of fires they lit.......till they all died of starvation and cold, or were bludgeoned to death by the Carbon Tax collectors for refusal or inability to pay their Carbon Taxes........
