However, irrespective of the absence of any guidance from the company, the market necessarily forms a collective expectation for the company earnings and all the more so now that the company is in the ASX200.
There will be an EPS figure that constitutes the threshold between a disappointment and a beat.
I was just trying to elicit the views of the folk here about the expectation for the upcoming half year earnings.

There is certainly no slippage in the announcement date.
Slippage can be a sign that the folk at a company are frantically searching for some lipstick to dress up a pig.

Rather, in this instance, PME are bringing the announcement forward to 13 Feb, whereas last year, it was on 21 Feb.
I am less confident that bringing the announcement forward has the reciprocal significance that they are busting to tell us about a good result.
However, I am a little buoyed by the patches of enthusiasm for the stock amidst the recent market volatility.

In any case, all will be revealed when Brunhilda exposes her tonsils next Thursday.

re result I just don’t know what or if a consensus exists
but would love a positive surprise of course
