So at election time, he thinks it will make him a 'man of the people' by doing something like this.Makes him look like the pretender he is.
Every pollie looks out of the depth come election time, in their 'meet the people' campaigns.
It's not one sided by any means.
In regards to your thread, I suppose the internet and all that type of gadgetry makes it simpler and easier than the big public rallies.Things are more sedate or even boring when it comes to campaigns, these days.No one wants to make a mistake or, heaven forbid, outrage!!
