The ABC should have a 24 Hour Election Channel (may be 24 hour is too much, we do need to sleep) where different politicians can be on air at different hours of the day and people can either phone in with their questions or email their questions and these politicians can answer them. One condition of such a channel is there is to be just one presenter, not to ask the politicians questions or make commentary, but he/she is there just to make sure the ON Air Channel works smoothly. I am tired of journalists asking politicians the same questions over and over again at different times and some of the questions asked are just so trivial except for the sensation values.
This should bring back some form of public (grass roots) participation in the election campaign.
