There would be a freeze on all internal including staff trades at the moment leading up to their results release.I have worked for a big company like this before and it's pretty standard and happens every year.
Another comment said there could be a purchase in the works.
If they buy up now and then post a great earnings which boosts the price wouldn't they be seen as insider trading?
