As stated by Nab and CUB, XRF sampling is fast and in the ball park. It is generally used for 'Operations' plant control of the process.
For 'Commercial Class' sampling the preferred method is generally AA as it is much more accurate but takes far longer. Hence with regard to sampling for in-house control versus agreed assays for payment the 2 different methods are used.
