When I grew up in the 1970's the fear was an impending Ice Age.
Then it was catastrophic global warming.
And now they have a foot in either camp and simply refer to it as climate change.
You don't need to worry my boy.
Your life will not be impacted one bit.
There will be plenty of food, plenty of water, plenty of oxygen and the seasons will progress as they have done for billions of years.
The only thing you need to worry about are sharlatans trying to scare you into paying for something that doesn't warrant a concern in the name of saving the planet.
Yes it is honorable to want to save the planet - but the danger must be a real one.
