I was clearing out some old paperwork and came across the letter from Peter EJ Murray to all ECL shareholders.
He wanted a response by 22nd May 2023.
I find it interesting because in his letter he was incredibly critical of the ECL board and their lack of response and transparency, yet his letter did not state why or what purpose he was going to utilise the responses he receives from other shareholders. He has not written again to advise what response he got or what he will now do with that information.
One of the more interesting comments within his letter was in the Shareholder Communications where he itemised his interaction with the ECL board. He indicates that on the 9th June 2021 he provided a 7 page investment Proposal from LCE. What was that proposal? Was it just an attempt to get on the gravy train and earn some fees for his listed investment?
Notwithstanding, he is now quite a substantial holder of ECL (blocking stake in isolation). Maybe he wants a board seat?
What is interesting is that its now the 4th October and usually the board comes out with the AGM letter around the 27th September!
Something must be holding it up, or am I reading too much into it?
