The LNP is only a broad church in their own minds. In reality they are dictatorial, spiteful and dishonest as one of their own Clive Palmer has recently pointed out. In Queensland we have had a tired and stale Labor government replaced by a bunch of LNP dills with the combined IQ of a peanut.
As to Gillard, no direct allegations of impropriety have been made. She is being condemned by association with dishonest people. She may or may not have done some dodgy things in her past...nobody has offered any "proof" either way and given these events were twenty years ago proof will be very hard to find.
However even if she is innocent the damage this witch-hunt has done IMO and for the good of the party she should step aside as PM and bow out at the next election.
