what happened to the drilling results?

Todays announcement is not a surprise considering that a completed DFS will be required before any funding is secured.

Forget the overhyped announcements of $2b offtakes and $200m funding. First and foremost TON needs to concentrate on progressing and completing the DFS.

Whatever happened to the outstanding exploration assays and an accurate model?  So far TON has a resource based on 46 holes (mainly RC) on sections 400m apart with 100m wire frame blocks.  Nothing more, nothing less.  No sections.  No confirmed continuity of narrow veins in a low grade mass.  And promises buried at the bottom of updates saying "shortly"

A second round of infill drilling is required to narrow the section spacing - TON promised to commence in May - may be now its "shortly"?  Think over another 12 months especially considering the complete model from the first rpund of exploration drilling still not issued.

Yes Huckle, I was on the great EXT ride.  But don't think this a repeat - its all about the resource and unless proven otherwise, TON appears to be the BMN of graphite not the EXT.  SYR took the EXT cup and that ride is done.

9th October 2014:
TON announced completion of the initial "exploratory" drilling program of 97 holes.

21 October 2014:
TON announced its maiden JORC resource based on assays from only 46 holes and stated a resource update would be issued on receipt of the remaining assays to confirm the model.

28 November 2014:
TON announced 75% of assays received.

27 January:
TON announced all assays "expected" by the end of January 2015.

26 February:
ALL assays now received - but were the last 25% any good? who knows?. TON is aiming to provide a more accurate update "shortly".

2nd April:
Resource model update nearing completion,  TON is aiming to announce the results "shortly". preparing for May infil drilling campaign.
